This Prior Information Notice is to inform providers of the Safeguarding Training offered by Newham Council. Safeguarding is a key aspect in the upcoming procurement of Dynamic Purchasing Vehicle (DPV) for Supporting Vulnerable Adults. This is not an invitation to tender.

A Safeguarding Training webinar session has been scheduled for Category 1 - Supported Living Services for the 12th January 2023 from 10am - 12.00pm. Providers are urged to attend this key training session to better their understanding of safeguarding. It is mandatory to meet the safeguarding requirements for the upcoming procurement.

The London Borough of Newham is inviting all providers (both current Providers and potential new Providers) to attend this Safeguarding Training Session which will provide information on key aspects in relation to the Authority's processes around safeguarding, this will include but not be limited to:

• the importance of identifying safeguarding concerns and when to report to the Authority

• how to raise a safeguarding concern and who to contact in the Authority

• the Authority's safeguarding process for adults and what happens next

• the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP)

Please note that the Council is planning to hold a virtual Market Engagement event on 18th January 2023 and a separate PIN will be published for the Event.

We anticipate the Contract Notice for Category 1 - Supported Living Services DPV will go live in early February 2023 and this will be published separately on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder.

The tender process for this DPV will be conducted via the Councils e-tendering portal Fusion. We encourage early registration, so providers are ready to start their applications as soon as the Contract Notice is published early February 2023.
