The British Museum is seeking to source a Delivery Manager to support a major programme of work at its Bloomsbury estate in Holborn. The Energy Centre Programme (ECP) is a major infrastructure programme that is designed to improve energy supply and generation, rationalise primary services distribution, and provide improved resilience in the building services infrastructure that serves the whole site. The programme is also a key enabler which will support ongoing asset and infrastructure renewal and the emerging aspirations of the British Museum’s masterplan.

The Delivery Manager role will be pivotal to the delivery of this multi-million pound programme. In conjunction with the British Museum’s Estates and Capital Projects department and current ECP professional team the Delivery Manager will lead the management and coordination of the delivery of the ECP which will be procured via at least six main contract packages.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Delivery Manager will be considered an extension of the British Museum’s existing Energy Centre Programme (ECP) Consultant Team whom they will be required to collaborate closely with. In their role they will manage and co-ordinate the works of the ECP’s Contractors and will be required to discharge duties in relation the following services:

Health and Safety;

Site-wide management and logistics;

MEP Management;

Programme Management;

Contract Administration;

Internal and external communications;

Information Management; and

Design Development Support.

Key Service deliverables can be summarised as follows:

Project Delivery and Execution Plan;

Document Management Plan;

Interface Management Plan;

BIM Risk Assessment;

BIM Execution Plan;

Health and Safety Management Plan; and

Logistics Management Plan.
