The nature of the SDE work requires highly specialised knowledge of various areas of the NHS. These include the NHS wide Secure Data Environment programme and specifically the Kent, Medway and Sussex programme. In depth knowledge is required of the programme aims and the technical specifications of the system. Experience of working in a multi-tenant environment is essential as the role includes working across 3 counties and with numerous healthcare systems. Knowledge of various software is required to ensure that the work to build and maintain the SDE can be successfully carried out including Bunny (a federation tool for cohort discovery within the SDEs), Metadata Works (a metadata tool that is used to collate and report the metadata for the SDE project), the HDR UK health data gateway (for national metadata processing), SQL Server and MS Fabric. The employee needs to play a leading role in designing, developing and maintaining a metadata solution as well as creating cohort discovery protocols and research ready datasets for submission into the SDE. In addition to general technical project manager skills the ICB Data Quality work requires in depth knowledge of the KM ICB data, both local and national feeds with specific knowledge of primary care data feeds being essential. A working knowledge of KMICB data quality needs and the functionality of the reporting suite is key as is a working knowledge of Python in order to assist in the design of the DQ tools. An in depth knowledge of business analyst skills is key to implement the development of use cases and the design of the data quality programme through them. In order to implement the solution an understanding of the DMM (Data Management Maturity) and DAMA frameworks is required as is knowledge of working to ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials standards.
