Description
Rutland County Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") invites quotations from experienced suppliers for the provision of a Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP) for Rutland.
A LAEP is a strategic plan that maps out how a local area can transition to a low-carbon, net-zero energy system. It assesses current and future energy needs (electricity, heat, transport) and identifies the most cost-effective and practical pathways to decarbonise over the coming decades, typically to 2050. LAEP's align local energy decisions with national net-zero targets and support informed decision-making across planning, housing, and transport. They also guide infrastructure investment and increase the chances of securing external funding and private investment.
