Medical simulator trainers are used across Oxford Brookes School of Nursing and Midwifery courses to facilitate training, mentoring and the continued professional development of student nurses. The contracting authority has identified a need to acquire additional deliveries of equipment from its original supplier in order to ensure its compatibility therewith. A change of supplier would oblige the contracting authority to replace medical simulator trainers with different technical characteristics to existing. This would result in additional significant cost, incompatibility and disproportionate technical difficulties in the continued operation and maintenance.
These are the only products and consumables compatible with the existing Limbs and Things medical simulator trainers and therefore there is no competition for this contract until the end of life of the existing kit.
