The contract is modified in accordance with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Reg.13

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
Following the change in Government in July 2024, we await the outcome of the spending review expected in Autumn 2024 to ascertain if further funding under the SSMTRG programme will be received and subsequently enhance the core budget (funded from the Public Health Grant) for drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services.
Planning for a commissioning and procurement process is now underway to replace the current contract to continue to deliver crucial treatment and recovery support
