The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform the market that it is the intention of Leicestershire County Council to issue a tender for the Machine Lay Carriageway Patching Contract_2023. This is to replace Patching Contract 2019 (currently in place) and preparatory work for the re-procurement is currently underway. The Contract Notice is currently anticipated to be published in January 2023.

This contract is for Carriageway Patching valued at approximate spend of £7.5million per annum.
The work covered under the carriageway patching programme shall include:
o 40-100mm deep inlay patching
o Overlay patching
o Adjustment of ironwork
o Minor kerb repairs
o Ad-hoc proprietary ironwork repairs
The initial contract period shall be for 12 months plus 4 optional extensions of 12 months each.
The Contract used shall be NEC4 Term Service Short Contract.
