Scope

Description

Delivery of capability and the team who are delivering the Single Sign On (SSO) and MFA capabilities. This will enable the global rollout of SSO and MFA components/services/systems to MODNET Official.

Lead the implementation and optimisation of access and authentication mechanisms for enterprise and classified systems. The aim is to ensure secure and seamless identity management across official Entra environments, Secret FUSECODE AD and deployed operations. The Secret & Future Delivery Manager will ensure the DIfD FBC FOC outcomes are planned, managed and delivered to time, cost, quality to release the cyber resilience Strategic Objective.

Lead the support to current Single Sign On (SSO) live services and develop further the Centre of Excellence for SSO. Enabling migration from On-Prem (pre-atlas) and deliver the new Cloud SSO (post Atlas).

Justification for notice:

This contract is essential to deliver the next stage of the DIFD programme at pace. Deep knowledge of the existing environment and future plans and priorities is essential to be able to deliver at pace. This contract is only possible route to establishing that level of knowledge and expertise by the required date, 30 June. Failing to do so would mean unacceptable delays to this critical capability for defence.

Therefore, this procurement falls within both the 'extreme and unavoidable urgency' and 'defence and security - necessary to enhance or maintain operational capability, effectiveness, readiness for action, safety or security of the armed forces' justifications for direct award in this instance.
