two.1.4) Short description

The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 (the Act) received Royal Assent on 29th April 2021. The Act placed a statutory duty on the Council relating to the provision of support to victims of domestic abuse and their children residing within relevant safe accommodation. The overarching aims of the Act are to:

Protect and support victims

Transform the justice process

Improve performance across agencies

Promote awareness

We are running a single stage open competitive tender process to procure supplier/s to provide support for victims of domestic abuse, including their children who reside in domestic abuse safe accommodation in Essex, for 5 Lots.

Each Lot will be for a term of 12 months from the 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2024 with the option to extend for a further 12 months (a maximum contract duration of 2 years) at a total maximum cost of £648,000 for the 5 Lots over the initial 12 month term.
