Newcastle City Council (NCC) is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of its employees by promoting proactive ways to live and work well. In turn, this assists the Council with effectively maintaining good health in the workplace and manage sickness absence. The Council currently provides a comprehensive package of occupational health and wellbeing services to the approximately 5,500 employees of the Councils core workforce, as well as its arms-length organisations such as Your Homes Newcastle, Newcastle Schools and Academies and Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums. The Occupational Health Unit has 4 Physician sessions per month. As a result, the Council wish to establish a contract with a suitably qualified provider to assist in the delivery of Physician services for Occupational Health.
