two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Coal Authority requires a service provider who can design, install and analyse data from Monitoring devices for use with Buildings or Landscapes which may be subject to Movement.
We will also require the interpretation of this data in order to enable us to advise if movement is due to the impacts of historic mining or some other cause.
On occasion these services will need to be deployed at pace in order to establish if there is a need for residential evacuation.
We also require that appointed organisations act as an expert witness should any situations arise where our judgement is called to a tribunal.
It is intended that Lot One will mainly be used our our Public Safety and Subsidence department for the monitoring and analysis of Stuctural damage caused by Historic Coal Mining. Other departments and permitted bodies may also make use of the Lot.
