two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The manufacturing process uses flammable solvents, primarily acetonitrile. CPI's Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre is not ATEX rated, so equipment must be contained within flow booths to prevent flammable atmospheres extending into the cleanroom. Operating in flow booths also reduces operator exposure to harmful compounds being handled during manufacturing. The flow booth design should minimise modifications to the cleanroom’s existing air supply and extraction systems. The full scope of requirements for designing and providing flow booths for Lot 1 of this tender can be found in the document titled ‘2674-URS’in the tender pack.
