Design, Build and Operate a new High Voltage Substation to provide power to the whole site at Celtic Lakes Newport.

The proposed timeline including Procurement and Delivery Stages are as follows;

Initial Engagement Workshop – Jan 2023

Issue of Tender – TBC but likely May 2023, further information to be provided at the Initial Engagement Workshop

Tender Submission – TBC

Award of Contract – TBC

Delivery Stages Begin – 2024 onwards - 25MW available from NGED from 2026

Interested Parties are invited to attend the Initial Engagement Workshop to be held on Tuesday 24th January 2023 at 13:00hrs at Cathays Park, Cardiff. There will be the option for the meeting to be attended virtually.

Please confirm by email to robert.stokes@burroughs.co.uk by Friday 16th January 2023 at 17:00 who will represent your company. There is to be no more than five individuals per interested party. Please note - These sessions will be for Welsh Government information only. Any subsequent procurement will be competitively tendered and the procurement documents will be made public. Please note - the figure of 1 GBP is a nominal figure as the overall figure is unknown at this stage.
