A Market Engagement Event is being held on Monday 25th November at 10:00am via MS Teams.

To attend please send an email to adultscommissioningteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk by 5pm on 24th November 2024.

Dorset Council would like to encourage anyone interested in providing services to unpaid carers to join the Dorset Care, Support, Housing and Community Safety Framework (DCF2), Lot 22.

To be invited to bid for this opportunity you will need to have applied and been accepted on to the above Framework under Lot 22 prior to the further competition being published.

Dorset Council are calling to market providers who are able to deliver services to unpaid carers including young carers who are caring for someone who is a resident of Dorset Council. Tenders from consortiums would be welcome to apply.

This service will seek to prevent, reduce, and delay unpaid carers from developing their own support needs wherever possible using a strengths-based approach. Services will include the identification of carers, the carer register, information advice and guidance, support groups and training.

Please note supported living and home care, are not part of this contract.

We want to work in partnership with provider(s) who can be creative and innovative in supporting carers in their local community, connecting them to the right support at the right time.

It is expected that the tender will be published in March 2025 as part of a further competition. You will need to register on www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk and apply to get on to the Dorset Care, Support, Housing and Community Safety Framework (due-north.com), specifically Lot 22.

You will need to have applied and been accepted onto the Framework prior to the further competition being published in order to receive an invitation to bid for this contract.

We invite you to join us at a Market Engagement Event on Monday 25th November 2024 at 10:00-11:30am so that we can explore potential ways we can work together. To register your interest and to receive a MS Teams invite to the market engagement event, please send an email to adultscommissioningteam@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk by 5pm on 24th November 2024.
