Neath Port Talbot Council (NPT CBC) will shortly be recommissioning our older persons domiciliary care services with the aim to attract a number of quality domiciliary care Providers who are interested in working with us. We will be looking to invite tender submissions for the provision of the older persons domiciliary care services, which we anticipate to be published around February 2024 for an August 2024 contract start.
We can confirm that the tendered service will be to deliver outcome focussed care to older persons living in their own homes, to support them to achieve improved outcomes.
The service serves in part to meet the Council’s response to the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
The service will be tendered on the basis of M.E.A.T (Most Economically Advantageous Tender).
A market engagement event has been arranged for 06.12.2023. Providers who may be interested in delivering the service are invited to meet and discuss the service with Council officers.
The event is an opportunity for the Council to seek views on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the service model and to explore ways to improve service delivery which may help to inform the service specification. There will also be an opportunity for the Provider to ask the Council any questions it may have around the tender.
The market engagement event will be facilitated by NPT CBC using Microsoft Teams between 11:00-11:45 hours. Due to the numbers of attendees anticipated, attendance will be limited to one person per Organisation.
To enable us to determine numbers of Providers who are interested in engaging with the Council through this event should contact Pam Morgans on the following email address ccu@npt.gov.uk or alternatively on 01639 686350 confirming they would like to attend.
The Council may also extend the events to other days should it be required.
