The contract will run from 1st March 2023 to 28th February 2026 with the option to extend for two additional years.
This procurement will be undertaken under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Northumberland County Council invites applications to tender for a contract to provide rehabilitation and support services to adults with a sensory impairment currently living in Northumberland. The contract will provide a preventative and reablement service for adults with low vision or people who are Deaf and those with a dual sensory impairment, congenital or acquired.
The primary aim of the service is to enable people with sensory impairments to regain or maintain as much independence and autonomy as possible, this will be achieved through a wide range of tools depending on individuals needs including rehabilitation, aids and equipment, emotional support and advice. The service will focus on maximizing and sustaining choice and involvement through outcome-focused support plans and person-centered approaches that facilitate opportunities for people living with sensory impairment to live fulfilled lives in a community setting.
