In 2021, 47 people were killed and 647 were seriously injured on the roads of Devon and Cornwall. As a Vision Zero’s Partner Devon and Cornwall Police have a pledge to cut road deaths and serious injuries to zero by 2040 and to reduce current numbers by 50% by 2030.

Devon and Cornwall Police are therefore beginning a procurement process for the supply and maintenance of a Motorbike Simulator and Mobile Classroom. Proven past performance including technical capabilities and evidence of economic and financial standing for the high-level specification is required when responding to the PIN. The Prior Information Notice is to alert the market of the requirement and we would like to hear from you as part of our market engagement phase, prior to the tender opportunity. The simulator can support a manual or automatic and low-CC or high-CC bike

All the bike's controls are functional (brake and clutch, throttle, gear-change pedal, indicators etc.).
