NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Black Country ICB is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified providers for the provision of a COVID Medicines Delivery Unit (CMDU).

The Commissioner previously published a Prior Information Notice for the proposed CMDU contract (Notice identifier: 2024/S 000-027940). Based on a review of activity over the past 12 months, the indicative value of this contract has reduced to reflect a decrease in activity.

The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support market engagement only at this stage.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Black Country ICB is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and qualified providers for the provision of a COVID Medicines Delivery Unit (CMDU).

The CMDU aims to provide timely and effective Covid-19 treatments to eligible patients in the Black Country. This service reduces hospital admissions, manages mild to moderate cases within the community, and supports the NHS by alleviating the pressure on hospital services. The service assists patients in managing their condition at home and preventing Covid related complications. The service also ensures that any Covid medication (Oral Anti-Retroviral Treatment or or nMABs -Neutralising Monoclonal Antibodies) are delivered safely to patients.

The Commissioner previously published a Prior Information Notice for the proposed CMDU contract (Notice identifier: 2024/S 000-027940). Based on a review of activity over the past 12 months, the indicative value of this contract has reduced to reflect a decrease in activity.

The contract duration is expected to be 3 years with up to a 2-year extension option.

The indicative contract value is expected to be £32,750 per annum.

Any award of contract for this requirement is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
