To provide resettlement and integration support for refugees relocating to Kent under the official government resettlement schemes:
- UKRS: United Kingdom Resettlement Scheme
- ARAP: Afghan Relocation and Assistance Programme
- ACRS: Afghan Citizen Resettlement Scheme.
- Any other eligible UK government resettlement programme as appropriate, as a consequence of global events and humanitarian crises.
This support is likely to include but is not limited to:
- Making initial reception arrangements for new arrivals
- Providing ongoing casework support for new arrivals.
- Registering families with local services, such as health, education and benefits.
- Developing and delivering a support programme based on each individual’s needs for the first 12 months after their arrival.

This lot provides for the provision of furnishings, household items and fittings for homes provided under the Refugee Resettlement Programme. The specification lists the items required to fit and furnish a home. Items should be of reasonable quality (new where possible), capable of lasting at least 5 years as well as meeting current British Furniture and furnishing fire safety standards and electrical goods supplied must meet current British electrical safety standards.
Numbers for each item needed for each home should be finalised with the Lot 1 provider but indicative amounts are given within the specification
