Explanation:
The University’s current Sigma system is now obsolete, requiring upgrade and replacement to Schneider’s EcoStruxure system. The University’s current infrastructure allows upgrade to Ecostruxure. Schneider are the Original Equipment Manufacturer for both Sigma and EcoStruxure infrastructure, with Schneider being the only supplier to have the expertise to both decommission the current system and upgrade to the new system, translating current configuration to the new system. All existing humidity and temperature sensors at UoE have been provided by Schneider, including controls infrastructure. The University requires to use Schneider’s system to avoid potential quality and accuracy issues for a business-critical area.
