Intention to award a contract under UK Statutory Instrument 2015 No. 102 Part 2 Chapter 2
Section 3 Regulation 32(1)(b)(ii) and (iii) as Crimson are the current strategic delivery partner for the Admissions System and ‘Apply to Newcastle Portal’ and they have built the Admissions system. The University will not be moving away from this system and there is currently not another partner who could support the system. Crimson would have the capabilities to move the system into BAU for the University and ensure ongoing support of the system and the current business needs.

The University will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the
contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the
award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days,
provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the
contract is entered into.
