The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) is advertising to seek tenders from experienced and qualified providers to deliver accommodation-based support only, to young people living at The Vineries which is a Supported Accommodation Provision located in Dagenham.

The service will provide low to medium support to homeless young people aged between 16- to 19-years-old that LBBD have assessed as being in housing need and requiring additional support to live independently.

The service will be delivered directly from The Vineries which is a 31 bed Supported Accommodation Provision. The Service commissioned by LBBD will provide short-term accommodation-based support for up to 25 young people, focusing on delivering a life skills programme that supports young people to gain essential skills for living independently and maintaining a tenancy.

The Service will require the Provider to sign a Housing Management Agreement with the building Landlord – Clarion Housing Association.

The support offered to young people will be tailored to each young person’s individual needs and should include, but is not limited to:

• Maintaining health and well-being

• How to access health services

• Budgeting and Finance Management

• Self-help and domestic skills

• What support services they are entitled to and can access

• How to look after a property, and sustain a tenancy

• Support in finding education and employment opportunities

• Finding and securing ‘Move-On’ accommodation

The Service will need to consider TUPE arrangements for employees who are currently delivering the service.
