As part of the Eastern Green Link Projects (EGL 3 & EGL 4) new connections will increase the capability of the electricity transmission network between England and Scotland.
The general requirement is for a marine survey of two cable routes to inform of seabed morphology and shallow sediment structure, and to provide benthic characterisation and habitat maps. The planned marine cable routes are both East Coast UK, from Peterhead to Lincolnshire and from Fife to Lincolnshire.
Lotting of the Requirements:
• Lot 1- EGL 3 Marine Cable Route Survey: approximately 500 km route from Peterhead to Lincolnshire
• Lot 2 - EGL 4 Marine Cable Route Survey: approximately 450 km route from Fife to Lincolnshire
There may be parts of the EGL 3 and EGL 4 routeing which are similar and may be surveyed as one. Therefore, these Lots may be reduced in surveyed length by up to 150 km.
The survey scope of work covers geophysical, geotechnical, topographic and environmental sampling.

-Obtain high quality soil samples
-Obtain high quality CPT/VC results
-Obtain high quality lab testing results of soil samples

-Obtain high quality UAV imagery
-Data analysis and production of full and detailed Survey Reports in accordance with the Technical Specification of the survey - to be issued at RFP stage
-Produce a conformant GIS deliverable package in accordance with the Technical Specification of the survey
