Essex County Council are reviewing the approach to commissioning domiciliary care ahead of the expiry of the current Live at Home Framework in August 2025.

As part of this we want to engage directly with providers of domiciliary care for adults with disabilities (AWD) which includes adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and adults with physical or sensory impairments.

We are holding a face-to-face engagement event in Essex on Tuesday 5th December 2023 and would like to extend an invite for to any provider that wishes to attend who either currently delivers domiciliary care for this group of adults or who wishes to do so in the future. The event will be held at Chelmsford City Racecourse, Chelmsford CM3 1QP.

The intent of the session will be to share current thinking and a potential future approach in this category. Attendees will be asked to share views and work with us on specific questions to support the future commissioning direction. At each event there will be several workshops for suppliers to participate in which will help steer the direction of the Council in our commissioning approach, including:

Quality, continuous improvement, user voice

Outcomes based commissioning

Workforce

Social Value and Climate

EDI

Technology (EHM, Digital Social Care Records, Care Tec / equipment)

Arrival time for the event is 9.30am for a 10am start and will run for approximately 3 hours including a refreshments break for networking and discussions. Due to the volume of suppliers expected, places will be limited to 2 places per organisation.
