To Provide:
The majority of work ordered by the customer from the Council’s Contact Centre will be for reactive pest control treatments to deal with complaints of pest problems.
In addition to the reactive work, some Council land and buildings may require preventative quarterly test-baiting work for rats and mice and other survey work, with ad hoc treatments as, and when, required.
The Council will receive the initial enquiry for a service, which if accepted will need to be communicated immediately to the Contractor, if an emergency call, otherwise pre-booked calls will be communicated at the start of each working day. Equally, the Contractor will record treatments undertaken and needs to regularly update the Council so that proper records can be maintained. The preferred method of regular communication for referrals and operational matters will be an agreed protocol for the transfer of data by email.
The exact details of the referral and operational communication system will be agreed with the successful contractor on appointment.
Deliverables:
The delivery of this reactive service in respect of all pests mentioned in the pricing schedule will normally be Monday-Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm, with the exception of public or Bank holidays. Occasionally an out-of-hours response may be required to deal with an emergency pest problem that cannot wait until the next working day.
Within the same working day of receiving the order from the Council, the Contractor shall carry out the pest control treatment work. During very busy periods (May- October) this may be extended to no more than 48 hours from receipt of the order (other than for emergency cases). A response time of 2 hours will be required for emergency response work ordered outside of normal working hours.
