seven.2) Information about modifications
seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
The proposed contract extension of 3 months, to 30th June 2023 will allow additional time for the procurement of the new contract in order to allow further community and voluntary sector engagement, to reduce any barriers in creating consortium bids, and the opportunity to reflect on the implications of the independent review of children's social care. Value
Lot 1 Chelt/Tewks £344,566
Lot 2 Glos City £316,220
Lot 3 Forest of Dean £245,585
Earlier modifications include the Babies Born in Lockdown pilot.
Lot 1 Chelt/Tewks £332,500
Lot 2 Glos City £150,000
Lot 3 Forest of Dean £150,000
seven.2.2) Reasons for modification
Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
The contract extension of 3 months, to 30th June 2023 will allow additional time for the procurement of the new contract in order to allow further community and voluntary sector engagement, to reduce any barriers in creating consortium bids, and the opportunity to reflect on the implications of the independent review of children's social care. The short length makes it technically and commercially unviable to change contractor.
seven.2.3) Increase in price
Updated total contract value before the modifications (taking into account possible earlier contract modifications, price adaptions and average inflation)
Value excluding VAT: £21,752,892
Total contract value after the modifications
Value excluding VAT: £23,291,763
