Explanation:
This is a voluntary ex ante transparency notice (VEAT). This notice is to indicate that the National Robotarium intends to contract with Enginnered Arts Limited for an Ameca Humanoid Robot.
A scoping exercise was conducted by research team within the National Robotarium with findings drawn that the Ameca Humanoid Robot from Engineered Arts Limited meets all of the specification of requirements to enable the research to be conducted.
The Ameca Humanoid Robot will provide a huge benefit to Human robotic interaction research work particularly in the fields of Education, arts and humanities and overall Human robotic interaction.
There are no other suppliers available in the market to supply this type of robot in terms of capability, design and funtionality in the form factor required.
The principal purpose of the contract is to acquire goods in connection with research undertaken by the National Robotarium.
