Hertfordshire County Council (the ‘Council’) is carrying out PPME (Phase 2) in relation to Dementia Community Support.The Council will consider any feedback received to help inform the Council’s options and further decision making. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the Council is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the PPME shall not prevent any provider participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the PPME shall place any provider at an advantage in a potential procurement process.Participation in the PPME will be at each organisation’s own cost. No expense in responding to this PPME will be reimbursed by the Council.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Hertfordshire County Council (the ‘Council’) is carrying out a second round of PPME (phase 2) in relation to Dementia Community Support. After the first successful round of PPME the Council is seeking further advice and opinions from the market to help with the decision-making process. Opinions are sought regarding the outcomes of the suggested and proposed revised model ahead of opening the tender process for these services.The Council currently commissions a range of services to support people living in the community with dementia and their carers, including: Hertswise – Dementia Service in Hertfordshire, a partnership of organisations led by Age UK Hertfordshire; Alzheimer’s Society’s post diagnostic support service and Herts Dementia Information and Support Service; and the Admiral Nursing Service, hosted by Carers in Herts. The Council will consider any feedback received from this Phase 2 stage to help inform the Council’s options and further decision making. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the Council is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Further details are in the PPME document (Phase 2), including the questionnaire to be completed and returned.See section II.1.4 above, section VI.3 below and the PPME documentation provided for further details.
