The London Borough of Ealing has commenced work to reshape the future delivery of children’s Community Health Services and would like to invite interested providers to participate in a market research exercise. The procurement is planned for early 2023 and is for a 5 year and 7-month contract with one possibility of 12-month extension. Total value £11.18m (if all extensions used)

Our Community Health Services include a range of services to support children and young people (CYP) with speech, language, communication needs (SLCN) and those with eating and drinking difficulties aged 0-25 years. This suite of services currently excludes Vision Screening and Audiology Services. Service Type & Delivery Scope SLT Early Bird Addition - Borough wide training package for families SLT EY Addition - Borough wide training package for families SLT Mainstream - Borough wide in Ealing primary schools SLT Mainstream Addition - Borough wide in Ealing primary schools SLT Mainstream Further Addition - This includes but is not limited to SLT package review, tribunal support and management capacity to improve practice Occupational Therapy Social Care - Borough wide in Ealing Schools Primary Behaviour Service (PBS) - Borough wide in Ealing Schools The Primary Behaviour Team work with primary schools to improve pupil behaviour and ensure that exclusions are kept to a minimum. ICAN - SLT support in Downe Manor Nursery Physio - Post 16 FE for 16-17 year olds - Hammersmith, Ealing & Southall, Uxbridge & Harrow, and West Thames colleges, 1 day per week for 30 weeks LAC Nursing Service - Borough wide in Ealing Schools The Council is seeking to collaborate with providers to develop a place-based approach to delivering services Our engagement with families and stakeholders highlights the need for the following. Children and young people benefit from: • Improving speech, language and communication • Increasing social skills • Increasing access to the curriculum • Increasing independence • Raising achievement • Increasing self-esteem and confidence • Making and sustaining a range of positive relationships Parents and other members of the family benefit from: • Early support whilst awaiting assessment • Education and advice for parents and carers regarding speech, language and communication difficulties. • Positive engagement with services. About this Market Engagement • The experience, expertise and innovation gained from this exercise will help inform and shape the commissioning and service delivery of services for CYP and their families. • This market research questionnaire is voluntary, and providers are in no way obliged to complete it, or to answer every question within it. However, we hope providers will complete is as it will assist us in informing our future strategy to commission children’s community health. • Ealing Council is not obliged to respond or make any commitments resulting from your responses. You may be invited to an event or meeting on 14th or 16th December 2022 to discuss your response further. • Your response is not part of any tender or contract, will be treated as confidential and the information you provide will only be used for market research purposes.
