The Devon County Council Community Equipment Service (CES) will be a joint contract commissioned by Health and Social Care for Adults and Children. The purpose is to provide high quality, evidence based information and advice to support individuals to source and fund their own Community Equipment and Minor Adaptations, without involvement from statutory services. This will involve a logistics service of supply, delivery, collection and recycling of equipment . Additional expectations that the commissioners are proposing, is that the service will include a web-enabled IT system to deliver this service; Connected Technology or Digital Technology monitoring first response provision and a basic range of Alternative and Augmented Communication Devices to help people who cannot communicate using speech.

The Commissioners are currently designing their requirements and the purpose of this notice is to give prior notice to the market of their future intentions.

Please note that this notice is not a call for competition and the Commissioners do not have any current intention of undertaking soft market testing.
