two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) Council invites applications to tender for a contract to provide a Domestic Abuse Specialist Refuge Service to start on the 1st July 2022 for an initial period of three years. The contract may be extended up to a maximum of two years.

In commissioning this service Hammersmith & Fulham Council seeks to ensure the provision of consistent and innovative approaches to supporting women in the borough experiencing domestic violence and abuse and who need accommodation and support to enable them to stay safe, consider options and pursue solutions to enable them to realise their life aspirations. Ensuring access to legal, practical, emotional and financial support, as well as risk intervention, and provision of appropriate accommodation are key service elements.

This service will provide short term, supported refuge accommodation. It is intended to provide temporary, safe accommodation for women and their children, whilst providing support specifically designed to assist women to live more independently, increase social inclusion and decrease the use of crisis or emergency services. Together with the draft contract and attached schedules this specification sets out the service requirements for Hammersmith & Fulham Council domestic abuse refuge accommodation service.
