The Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service for children and young people will aim to provide high quality evidenced based interventions for children and young people with a range of emotional, health and wellbeing needs. The service will ensure that children and young people can thrive and fulfil their developmental, social, emotional and educational potential.
The proposal is to commission one Emotional health and Wellbeing Service rather than two separate services which are currently operational.
The new service will support children and young people with a:
• Team around the Family assessment, including NEET young people
• Child in Need plan
• Child Protection Plan, and
• who are Looked After.
who do not meet the threshold for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
The Service will provide consultation, assessment; short to medium term evidenced based interventions and referral / access to appropriate level of services, where assessment indicates longer term or more complex needs are required.
