two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Home Office will be holding a Maritime Capability (Small Boats CCTC) Industry Event on 27th January 2022 (10am-12pm).

The purpose of the event is to present to the market the Home Office's key operational challenges in securing the UK border in the English Channel from migrants in small boats and to seek;

• industry insight and expertise to solve these challenges; and

• to gain an understanding of experiences elsewhere in the world.

Please note that the provision of welfare supplies and services for arriving migrants is not in-scope of this event.

This is an initial briefing event which will be followed in subsequent weeks by;

• the issue of an informal request for information to participants for industry to share their innovative ideas, new approaches and potential solutions which can be legally deployable in UK;

• roundtable workshops;

• innovation discovery exercises; and potentially

• demonstration days.

Companies interested in attending the event should express their interest by sending an email which provides full company details (name, address, company registration number); full contact details and a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (see below) to;

Further details regarding the joining instructions will be provided in due course to those companies which have expressed their interest.

It is a condition of attending this event that participants sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The NDA for participants to complete is attached to the corresponding advertisement in Contracts Finder at;
