Offshore Renewable Energy (“ORE”) Catapult has a requirement to build a Technology Development Centre (“TDC”) and to do so, it needs to refurbish an existing storage building at our site in Blyth, Northumberland, which is approximately 1800m2 in floorspace.

The aspiration for the refurbished building and the new office space is for it to both reflect and inspire the innovative and renewable energy creative nature of the business.

ORE Catapult require the fabric of the building to be refurbished and to create a two (2) story office space within the building.

The Contractor is required to meet and deliver the following requirements:

1. Design and refurbishment of the building known as Shed D, including lab & office space, as well as providing foundations for a 1MW test rig facility

2. Interior design and fit out of building to provide at least 650m2 of office space, including furniture.

1. Supply and install a ring main switch within the BT2 11kV switch room

2. Supply and installation of underground cabling

4. Construct a HV switch room within the building to accommodate all of the electrical switch gear

ORE Catapult has a requirement to construct permanent weather proofing to a 6MW bearing test rig at its site in Blyth, Northumberland, which would require a footprint of approximately 8m by 8m to a height in the region of 10m; .

Design and installation of a weather proofing solution to protect the central ‘hub’ region of the test rig to replace the short-term temporary solution that is currently in place.

ORE Catapult is seeking prices for both single & double skin buildings
