UKRI requires a supplier to design and deliver a UK wide gaming programme that engages underrepresented audiences with climate change and climate related research through the medium of videogames. the budget for this requirement will be up to £415,000.
The requirement will be split into three phases:
Phase one: development
Phase two: delivery
Phase three: legacy
Phase one and Phase two (Initial period) will have a start date between February 2022 – February 2023 (with some flexibility around start date) and be for a duration of 12 months with an option for a time based extension for a further three months (with agreement) if required.
Phase three: legacy - up to 12 months duration commencing from the end of Phase one and two (initial period).

The aims and objectives are:
To generate conversations and excitement and engage people on topics such as net zero and climate change, inspired by COP26, at a national, potentially global level, within the gaming community and other identified target audiences.
Leave a digital legacy, and to provide a proof of concept methodology that utilises gaming and game making platforms as vehicles for public engagement with research across a range of topics.
