This additional 12 month period is outside the terms of the existing contract however it is deemed to be necessary as a critical review of the services and scope of the contract is being undertaken to ensure that the contract is fit for purpose when it is re-tendered. This review will not be completed in time to allow adequate time to retender within the existing contract duration and business need dictates that there cannot be a gap in service delivery. The value of the proposed 12 month extension will be £440,246 and the contractor is G4S Secure Solutions (UK) Limited.
