The Council is seeking tenders for provision of care and support for Visram House to 37 older people with physical, mental health and learning disabilities who meet the eligibility criteria for extra care for a period two (2) years and optional two extensions of one (1) year each as detailed in this ITT.
The core element of the Care and Support is expected be delivered by a single care provider, working to a modern philosophy that maximises individual choice and control of service users through flexible delivery of services. Any additional assessed hours may be commissioned via a Direct Payment or a ‘spot’ purchase provider chosen by a service user.
The Services to which the Procurement relate fall within the “Light Touch Regime” (LTR) governing procurement of Health, Social, Education and Other Service Contracts. None of the references to “Open procedure”, “ITT”, the use of the term “tender process”, or any other indication shall be taken to mean that the Authority intends to hold itself bound to any of the Regulations, save those applicable to LTR provisions.
