NIE Networks wishes to enter into a Framework Agreement with one suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide plant painting services. The service provider will provide a primary point of contact for NIE Networks.
The Framework Agreement will comprise the following service areas: -
• Preparation and painting of high voltage electrical equipment during outages
• Preparation and painting of high voltage electrical equipment within our Silverwood Plant
Preparation and painting on non-electrical equipment (to include wooden doors, metal
kiosks, fencing, substation kiosks and buildings floors, walls and ceilings).
• Site accommodation and welfare units painting and repairs
• Removal of graffiti
Minor metal fabrication and associated repairs prior to painting
• Repairs to 11Kv/6.6 Kv Substation ESI Kiosks both Metal and Fiberglass

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Framework agreement covers the treating and painting of external surfaces to prolong the lifecycle of the plant and equipment on the network. The preparation and painting of electrical equipment and ancillary works shall be carried out at various locations throughout Northern Ireland.
The framework agreement will be established for a period of 5 years with an option
(exercisable entirely at NIE Networks discretion) to extend for three further years (8 years in total).
Estimated annual volumes for the 8-year Framework are factored into the Pricing Schedule.
