The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Project Team within Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) are preparing to initiate a competitive procurement process to award a contract for the Battle of Britain Memorial Integrated Support Arrangement Programme (BISAP) - Propulsion (Engines).
BISAP - Propulsion (Engines) will deliver an efficient and effective, long term solution for all engine support for the BBMF aircraft over the next 10 years.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Authority's scope of requirement for BISAP Propulsion (Engines) includes: Refurbishment, Reconditioning, Repair, Maintenance, Design, Engineering and Technical Support; including the capability to design and manufacture parts for all engine types which include Gipsy Major, Griffon, Merlin (all Mk’s) and Twin Wasp engines supporting BBMF aircraft (all Mk’s).
Including the aspiration to have the engines managed and held by the supplier to maximise engine availability to BBMF during the display season (Apr – Oct) and manage maintenance activities by aligning them to the BBMF winter maintenance period (Oct – Mar).
two.2.14) Additional information
The Contractor supporting BBMF Engines will be required to hold as a minimum appropriate BCAR approvals from the CAA at Contract award and will be expected to gain approval from the Military Aviation Authority under their DAOS (Design) and MAOS (Maintenance) Schemes during the initial 18 month period from contract award. The aim is to carry out competitive activity starting in Q1/Q2 2022
