North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is working for and on behalf of NHS North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (NENC ICB) (the Relevant Authority) who intend to follow the Most Suitable Provider (MSP) process to award a contract for the provision of a Children's Speech and Language Therapy in County Durham.
This service specification outlines the requirements for delivering a children's speech and language therapy service across County Durham. The long-term vision is to develop this further by working with a new provider to develop an integrated children's therapies model. The goal is to provide a coordinated and collaborative approach that addresses the diverse needs of children and their families, ensuring that every child receives the right support at the right time in the right settings.
The contract will be for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years, commencing on 01 April 2025.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
It is the intention to award a contract using the Most Suitable Provider Process.
