Provision of river and rain gauge maintenance, monitoring, and telemetry across Scotland.
River Flow Gauging:
- Monthly/2-monthly site visit including spot flow gauging
- Provision of rating equation relating level to flow
- Provision of raw data sets and calculated flows
There are currently four SW river gauging stations located across the west of Scotland. Targeted gauging may be required.
Further ad-hoc gauging (likely in low flow periods) may be required at sites across Scotland.
Site visits will include a data download, spot flow gauging, equipment maintenance and full calibration, where required.
Sites have Flexi Logger 100 or Flexi Logger 105 logging units installed, therefore compatible software will be required for data download and recalibration. Loggers can be downloaded via Wi-Fi network or using a conventional wired approach.
Data collected on site should be provided to Scottish Water in both raw (.csv) and HEC formats alongside a site visit report, for each visit.
ISO 18320 and ISO 23350 standards will apply.
Rainfall Monitoring: 50 sites
- Undertake maintenance and monitoring visits across all sites
- Provide near real-time updates of precipitation data via an accessible online portal.
Full data processing and data report (detailing work to be completed at site and fully processed rain gauge data) to be submitted to Scottish Water following each round of site visits.
Rainfall data to be collected following ISO 23350 standards.
