two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Transport for Wales (TfW) are looking to engage with organisations who are interested in working with us at small retail spaces across the TfW rail network. Opportunities include:

1. Metro Market pop-up units

TfW are looking for high quality pop-up concepts which will enhance the customer experience at our rail stations. These could support local traders looking for shop windows for their products, pop-ups, or street food vendors. Examples of pop-ups include: coffee, patisserie, pizza, fish and chips, juice, hot fast food and florists on both long- and short-term agreements.

External retail areas can add colour and theatre to often unwelcoming environments and can be used for permanent or seasonal commercialisation.

2. Demountable/Mobile units

Demountable units and Mobile Units, offer a medium to longer term option for fledgling and established businesses to take up a unit at a high footfall location. By the provision of footfall data, we are able to provide insights into the most appropriate locations for businesses to maximise their trading potential. These units can also be offered on flexible terms allowing retailers to trial new concepts and locations with limited investment.
