two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The services included within this opportunity are coring and testing of utility reinstatements; coring of other areas for investigations prior to highway maintenance and improvement works; collecting of samples; sampling of materials used on the highway; carrying out specified in situ and laboratory tests and providing technical personnel and factual reports.

The Contractor will provide the services in accordance with Good Industry Practice and comply with the Contract, specifications, British Standards, guides, protocols and codes of practice as updated, amended and superseded from time to time. The contract will be a single lot covering all 12 districts and predicted (though not guaranteed) spend is circa £150K/PA.

The Client intends to procure the Contract via the open competitive tender procedure in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended).
