two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Conwy County Borough Council seeks to invite Providers of complex care and support services who have the necessary experience, specialism and expertise to deliver care and support to young people and/or young adults with highly complex needs, challenging behaviours presenting as high risk cases often very vulnerable with self harming tendencies. Intentions are to inform the market of Providers prior to tender of the critical local gaps and demands for service delivery with plans to build up a time critical service for our young people locally. We are looking for trauma informed nurturing services for young people experiencing difficulties with emotional regulation as a result of early adverse childhood experiences.
Case examples will be shared at the event in order to provide a flavour of the nature and the type of services that are required now with increasing demand in the future including:
- young people with autism and/or learning disabilities and a mental health diagnosis, whose needs cannot be fully met by CAMHS and/or who do not have a mental health diagnosis but are displaying dangerous or destructive behaviours
- young people moving to adulthood who are presenting with challenging or destructive behaviours and putting themselves at risk
The event will be conducted through a form of a virtual meeting on the 21st December from 1pm to 2.30pm. A Microsoft Teams invite will be circulated to Providers who expressed an interest. In the meantime if there are any queries regarding the event please contact us by email on the following email address: contractsteam@conwy.gov.uk
