Magnox Limited is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process for routine and call out maintenance of High Voltage Switchgear at various sites in the UK and wish to carry out pre-market engagement with interested suppliers to investigate the supply chain capabilities, expertise, and appetite to enter into a multiyear contract to maintain (NOT REPLACE) what is aged and obsolete equipment.
We are looking to place a 5 year contract initially covering Dungeness A, Maentwrog, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa Decommissioned power stations with options to add additional Decommissioned Power stations in the future.

In relation to breakdown maintenance and noting the age of the equipment (1960's) the expectation would be the chosen supplier would hold or arrange preferential access to critical spare parts and have access rights to the NGET property as many of the connections are within NGET owned/leased and operated substations.
Work carried out on the majority of the High Voltage (HV) equipment will be under the NGET Safety Rules and requires their direct supervision.
This PIN provides procurement awareness for suppliers regarding this requirement. Any information gathered through this market engagement may inform internal business planning and any possible subsequent procurement process and will NOT be appraised in any future tender evaluation exercise.

Following the closure of this PIN, it is Magnox Limited intention to hold a virtual supplier day for interested parties, which will provide a more detailed overview of our requirements and expectations.
As part of a restricted procedure, a Selection Questionnaire (SQ) will take place following the supplier day. Supplier(s) who are shortlisted as part of the SQ phase, may be invited to a further supplier day.
