Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) is a significant project which aims to create continuousperson-centred support for young people aged 15-29 years as part of a seamless progression into education,or training or sustainable employment. In its first phase between April 2016 and July 2018, the YPP projectsupported around 13 000 young people assisting over 4 200 of these participants into positive education,training or employment outcomes. The Council and its YPP partners are now commencing an extendedphase of project delivery which will run up to October 2021 and as part of this, the Council is now seeking tocommission the delivery of P0607 Specialist wrap around service for young people with mental health supportneeds.

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
The Coronavirus pandemic has had an unforeseen impact on the level of mental health support needs and on the ability of this contract to adapt delivery to respond to these needs. The ESF funded Youth Promise Plus project, which this contract is part of, has secured an extension and to maintain continuity of delivery for the most vulnerable cohorts within YPP it is proposed to extend this contract to the end of June 2022 using existing project underspend and in accordance with the Covid 19 Procurement Policy Note 01/20 issued by Cabinet Office. This extension will allow YPP to continue to deliver this provision, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic.
The additional activity required with this extension is the delivery of additional support hours proportional to the original contract.
