Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is one of the largest NHS (National Health Service) organisations in Wales. We employ approximately 14,500 staff and provide health services to a population of around 472,400 people living in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Having previously adopted a contract methodology focussing on non-recyclable waste and dry mixed recycling Cardiff and Vale Health Board is looking to maintain this scheme, with a view to adopt a fully segregated waste and recycling scheme in accordance with anticipated Welsh Government legislation and supporting the move to a circular economy in Wales. We are seeking a potential Contractor to assist us in managing the successful transition to this innovative approach under a 2-year contract with 2 years extension option at yearly intervals.
