two.1.4) Short description

The Maritime Spares Delivery Team (MSDT) within the Defence Equipment & Support organisation, has identified a possible future requirement of the provision of Fleet General Stores (FGS) Spares, Repairs and Post Design Services (PDS).

The MSDT is currently intending to run a competition shortly and is primarily looking for a single prime supplier who is able to fulfil the complete requirement’s scope (if not the major of it - above 75%) detailed above. To help inform the MSDT market intelligence, industry are invited to submit their expression of interest on or before 4th January 2022, with any accompanying statement detailing which of the above categories of equipment they are able to provide spares, repair and PDS support for. For example: Supplier A has submitted a statement confirming that they can support Categories 1,3 & 5; Supplier B has submitted a statement confirming that they can support ‘All’ Categories.

1. DAS – Catering Equipment eg. Tableware, kitchen utensils

2. DAS and Electrical – Small Domestic Appliances eg. Toasters, Kettles and Vacuum Cleaners.

3. DAS and GEH – Heaters and Heating Elements.

4. DAS – Tablecloths, Towels, and Duvets

5. GEH – Cleaning Hardware eg. Mops and Buckets etc.

6. GEH – Meters, Gauges, Test Equipment and Test Kits.

7. Locks, Keys, and Hinges

8. GEH – Miscellaneous consisting of an eclectic mix of items from scaffolding poles and cement to Bosun’s whistles and handcuffs.

9. Lab Equipment eg. Conical flasks and test tubes.

10. Paints – Non warpaint eg. deck coverings.

11. Seals, Washers, and Gaskets.
