two.1.4) Short description

Across the (Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire) BNSSG footprint we want to address three specific needs we have regarding a gap in commissioned provision for three markets.

• We have experienced a high demand for specialist support and care (often nurse led) for children and young people

• There has been a need to use emergency specialist teams to support children and young people in social care placements, who have mental health problems and find regulating their behaviour challenging

• Parent & Child assessment services locally (which relates to young parents aged between 16 and 25 who require a 12-week parenting assessment as part of either pre proceedings or court proceedings. 2 x units (shared accommodation) for 2 x young parents and their baby has been sourced at Priory Court

BNSSG local authorities will enter into an inter-authority agreement with users of the framework and call off from this Care and Support framework. There will be the possibility of a direct award, mini competitions, or a block arrangement, depending on the preferred option. The Integrated Care Board (ICB) will also call off from this framework.

Therefore, there will be an opportunity for providers to tender for one or more lots, depending on their expertise and specialisms. Services may be both short and/or longer-term arrangements.

All lots will require providers to be committed to the development of trauma informed practice across all aspects of provision, with Lot 2 requiring a particular skill set in trauma informed practice to support placement stability.
