two.1) Scope of the procurement

two.1.1) Title

Allied Health Professions Enhanced Practice pilot delivery model

two.1.4) Short description

For 2024/25 NHSE WT&E intends to facilitate successful ECP apprenticeship programme delivery by pump priming AHP profession specific courses with £10k pp funding to support the development of apprentice funded training into the future, where funding can be used to support the development of innovative and sustainable delivery of these new programmes across England in their first year, to support:

Educator capacity
Educational requirements in practice
Supervisory arrangements

This funding will be offered to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to support the above development and will be additional and independent to the apprenticeship levy. We expect employers will draw down on the levy to access course fees.

One stage open procedure; Light Touch Regime

There will be a total of 10 lots by profession with 30 places per lot.

Lot 1: Occupational therapists
Lot 2: Operating department practitioners
Lot 3: Osteopaths
Lot 4: Paramedics
Lot 5: Physiotherapists
Lot 6: Podiatrists
Lot 7: Prosthetists and orthotists
Lot 8: Diagnostic radiographers
Lot 9: Therapeutic radiographers
Lot 10: Dietitians

Tenderers may bid for one or more lots and there will be a maximum of 2 providers awarded per lot.

The highest scoring provider per lot will receive their requested number of places.

The second highest scoring provider will be offered the remaining places.

If a supplier is awarded more than one lot the authority may award a contract combining all awarded lots

The Awarded Contracts shall be payable based on a price per learner of £10,000.00 (EXCLUSIVE of VAT).

The contract period will be for (18) months, with no option to extend.

The deadline for submission of completed ITT submissions is 21/10/2024 by 12:00hrs (midday).

Late submissions will not be accepted therefore, please submit in good time prior to the deadline date and time. All communications should be made via the messaging function on the e-Tendering portal during the tender exercise.

The Contracting Authority requests that all communications are channelled through the e-portal system and not with the Contracting Authority itself other than as expressly permitted within this ITT.
